Industri musik rock berduka atas kematian Scott Weiland. Mantan grup band Scott, Stone Temple Pilot memberikan penghormatan tersebut.

Lewat akun Twitter resminya, Stone Temple Pilot memberikan surat terbuka untuk mendiang Scott. Di mana dalam surat tersebut dijelaskan bagaimana Scott membangun Stone Temple Pilot.

Mereka menyebut Scott sebagai talenta besar yang tak mungkin ada gantinya. Meski tak lagi bersama mereka sungguh sangat kehilangan.

Scott memang menjadi pendiri Stone Temple Pilots sejak 1989 silam. Lewat band itu juga, nama Scott mulai mencuri perhatian dunia.



Hingga akhirnya, Scott memutuskan untuk hengkang pada 2013 lalu. Sebuah keputusan yang sempat membuat heboh penggemar Stone Temple Pilots.

Dear Scott,

Let us start by saying thank you for sharing your life with us. Together we crafted a legacy of music that has given so many people happiness and great memories. The memories are many, and they run deep for us.

We know amidst the good and the bad you struggled, time and time again. It’s what made you who you were. You were gifted beyond words, Scott. Part of that gift was part of your curse.

With deep sorrow for you and your family, we are saddened to see you go. All of our love and respect.

We will miss you brother,

Scott Weiland ditemukan tewas di dalam bis tur-nya pada Kamis (3/12) malam waktu setempat. Sampai saat ini masih belum jelas penyebab kematian Scott.
