GNR menyajikan musik rock berdurasi panjang di lagu ini. Nggak main-main, versi asli November Rain hingga 25 menit. Tapi akhirnya lagu tersebut dipangkas menjadi cuma 8 menit 59 detik. Tetap panjang juga.
Lirik dan klip dari November Rain terinspirasi dari cerita pendek karya Del James berjudul Without You. Video musik karya sutradara Andy Morahan itu kabarnya menghabiskan dana hingga USD 1,5 juta, yang kalau dikonversikan pada 2021 sebesar Rp 21,4 miliar.
Lagu itu nggak cuma jagoan soal fakta unik di baliknya saja, November Rain juga meraih prestasi. Lagu tersebut berhasil ada di peringkat tiga Billboard 100 yang menjadikannya sebagai single berdurasi terpanjang yang pernah ada di 10 besar tangga lagu bergengsi itu.
